ACTIVE INGREDIENTS
Glycolic Acid
Glycolic acids are used to:
- Accelerate light exfoliation of dead skin cells
- Provide a cleaner, more uniform skin surface
- Increase collagen turnover
- Increase the skin's water content
Retinova
Vitamin A (tretinoin) is used for the skin to:
- Enhance the effects of glycolic acid
- Stimulate the production and regeneration of new skin cells
- Improve the appearance of solar (sun) damaged skin
- Improve the appearance of fine wrinkles
Hydroquinone
Hydroquinone (HQ) is used for the skin to:
- Act on the pigment cells of the skin i.e. the melanocytes.
- Even and decrease the skin's colour irregularities
- Help prevent the possible effects of increased pigmentation changes
Hydrocortisone
Hydrocortisone may be used to:
- Act as an anti-inflammatory agent to help soothe the possible irritating or inflammatory effects of glycolic acid, retinova and hydroquinone.
Additional Creams
Moisturisation is an integral part of pre- and post-treatment of dry skin.
Sunblock protection and its importance cannot be overstressed and should be used daily.
